Here’s a selection of elderflower-based cocktails, including our favourite of the summer - The Hugo, a classic and refreshing elderflower spritz.

1. Hugo Cocktail (Classic Elderflower Spritz)

A light and floral cocktail, perfect for summer.

Ingredients:

150ml Prosecco

20ml Elderflower Cordial

50ml Sparkling Elderflower 

Fresh mint leaves

Lime slices

Ice

Method:

1. Fill a wine glass with ice.

2. Add the elderflower cordial and a few fresh mint leaves.

3. Squeeze a lime wedge into the glass and drop it in.

4. Pour in the Prosecco, followed by a splash of Sparkling Elderflower.

5. Stir gently and enjoy!


2. Elderflower Collins

A floral twist on the classic Tom Collins.

Ingredients:

50ml Gin

25ml Elderflower cordial

25ml Fresh lemon juice

100ml Sparkling Elderflower

Ice

Lemon slice & mint for garnish

Method:

1. Fill a tall glass with ice.

2. Add gin, elderflower cordial, and lemon juice.

3. Top up with Sparkling Elderflower and stir.

4. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint.

 

3. Elderflower French 75

A sparkling, floral take on the classic French 75.

Ingredients:

30ml Gin

15ml Elderflower cordial

15ml Fresh lemon juice

Champagne or Prosecco

Lemon twist for garnish


Method:

1. Shake gin, elderflower cordial, and lemon juice with ice.

2. Strain into a champagne flute.

3. Top with chilled Champagne or Prosecco.

4. Garnish with a lemon twist.
